- This document provides guidance for carrying out health risk assessments of detergents and their raw materials (ingredients), and describes methods for assessing whether and to what extent raw materials in detergents have adverse effects on human health. This document is applicable to the risk assessment of raw materials for cleaning products, safety risk substances and end products that are inevitably introduced during the production process of raw materials or products under the conditions of consumer use (including the expected use of products). This document does not apply to situations of occupational exposure, industrial and institutional use, and product releases.
