This standard specifies the general requirements, test voltage waveforms, test equipment, test voltage values, withstand voltage tests and test criteria for VFTO field withstand voltage tests for gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear (hereinafter referred to as GIS) equipment with voltage levels of 363kV and above. This standard applies to high-altitude areas above 1000m, where gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear is used in whole or in part. GIS equipment with voltage levels below 363kV may refer to this standard. Other regions can refer to it.
