- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, usage conditions, ratings, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of 12 kV outdoor AC high-voltage drop-type fuses (hereinafter referred to as fuses) and quality promise. This standard applies to fuses with rated voltages of 12 kV and below and rated frequencies of 50 Hz/60 Hz. They are used for the protection of lines and outdoor transformers and other equipment in power systems and for switching load currents. According to different transient recovery voltages (TRV), fuses are divided into Class A and Class B.
