Scope
This document specifies the operating conditions, ratings, design and structure, test, selection guidelines, Transportation, storage, installation, operation and maintenance requirements. This document is mainly aimed at circuit breakers used in AC filter groups that are frequently operated in engineering. Note 1: The circuit breaker for a large filter group is usually only used to break several parallel filter group circuits, and it does not need to withstand the closing inrush condition in the normal operation procedure, and the operating frequency is much lower than that of a filter group circuit breaker , refer to the relevant requirements of the switching test of a single capacitor bank of C1 level in GB/T1984-2014. Note 2: In order to limit the closing inrush current, high-voltage AC circuit breakers for filters usually use closing resistors or phase selection control devices. Note 3: If a circuit breaker that has passed the type test of GB/T1984—2014 is used as a high-voltage AC circuit breaker for filters, the special requirements for service conditions, design and structure specified in this document, as well as the contents of Chapter 7 are necessary supplements. Note 4: The high-voltage AC circuit breaker used for the filter usually has a strong capacitor bank current switching capability and a certain short-circuit current breaking capability, and does not need the capability of breaking and automatic reclosing for near-field faults and out-of-step faults.
