Scope

This document specifies the cutting, preparation and evaluation methods of free cementite, pearlite and Widmanstatten samples of steel. This document is applicable to the evaluation of free cementite, pearlite and Widmanstatten structure of low-carbon and medium-carbon steel plates, steel strips and steel rods (billets). Other steel types can be used as a reference.
