This standard specifies the fatigue test of metal specimens under the conditions of given torque, constant amplitude, nominal elastic stress, and no stress concentration. The test is usually carried out under atmospheric conditions at room temperature (10 ℃ ~ 35 ℃), and the load is loaded along the longitudinal axis of the sample. This standard applies to the cutting, preparation and testing of circular cross-section specimens and round pipe cross-section specimens. Excludes structural and other special types of tests. It also does not include low-cycle torsional fatigue tests with constant-amplitude angular displacement control, and the number of failure cycles is usually only a few thousand.
