- This standard specifies the scope, classification and model preparation, requirements, testing, inspection, marking, packaging and storage of fixed toxic gas detectors. This standard applies to fixed toxic gas and oxygen detection (alarm) instruments used in workplaces. This standard does not apply to fixed gas detection (alarm) instruments used in mines (hereinafter referred to as detectors). This standard summarizes the practical experience of fixed gas detectors and regulates the scope, model preparation, requirements, testing, inspection, marking, packaging and storage of fixed gas detectors.
