Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, working principles, technical requirements and inspection items for measuring sewage flow and accumulation using open channel weir flowmeters as measuring instruments. This standard applies to the most commonly used open channel weir and trough flowmeters (rectangular thin-walled weirs and Parshall troughs) in sewage metering, and open channel flowmeters composed of water level sensors or water level flow display instruments coupled with weirs and troughs.
