Scope

This standard specifies the chromotropic acid spectrophotometric method for the determination of methanol in ambient air, unorganized and stationary pollution source exhaust gases. This standard is applicable to the determination of methanol in ambient air and waste gas in Shanxi Province. When the constant volume is 5 mL, the detection limit of the method is 1.45 μg, and the lower limit of determination is 5.80 μg.
