GB/T 39534-2020 Corrosion of metals and alloys—Method for determination of the uniform corrosion rate of stainless steels and nickel based alloys in liquids (English Version)
This standard specifies the method for measuring the uniform corrosion rate of stainless steel and nickel-based alloys in a specific liquid and the passivation ability of the material after activation. This standard is suitable for estimating the uniform corrosion rate of materials in liquids in an atmospheric environment, and is also applicable to the chemical industry under special environmental conditions, but it is not used as a qualification test. This standard can also be used to determine the constant corrosion rate diagram and the temperature at which the corrosion rate exceeds 0.1 mm/a. This standard does not apply to the determination of excessively high corrosion rates exceeding 1 mm/a, because higher corrosion rates indicate that the stainless steel is not suitable for this application. This standard does not apply to solutions containing halides, especially chlorides, because such may cause localized corrosion.
