- This standard specifies the gas chromatography method for determining the migration amount of 1,3-butadiene in food-contact plastic packaging materials and products and the positive verification method of GC-MS. This standard is applicable to the determination and verification of the migration amount of 1,3-butadiene in plastic packaging materials and products in contact with food. The lower limit of the determination of 1,3-butadiene in water-based food simulants by this method is 0.01mg/L, and the lower limit of 1,3-butadiene in olive oil is 0.01mg/kg.
