Scope

This standard specifies the membrane filter method for the determination of fecal coliforms in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of fecal coliforms in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. The detection limit of this method: when the inoculation volume is 100ml, the detection limit is 10CFU/L; when the inoculation volume is 500ml, the detection limit is 2CFU/L.
