- This document specifies the principles, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, sampling, test procedures, precision, test reports, etc. for the determination of aromatic hydrocarbons in paints using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This document is applicable to the determination of aromatic hydrocarbons content in coatings and raw materials for coatings, including but not limited to the aromatic hydrocarbons listed in Table A.1 in Appendix A. For the determination of aromatic hydrocarbon content in polymer materials and raw materials used in other fields, please refer to this document.
