- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, marking, symbols and units, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, documents, signs, packaging, transportation, storage and quality commitments of flat-plate solar collectors. This standard applies to solar flat-plate collectors that use solar radiation for heating and the heat transfer medium is liquid. It does not apply to vacuum tube-type solar collectors and air collectors (including flat-plate air heaters) and sultry-type water heaters. .
