- This document specifies the test method for the energy consumption of mild hybrid electric vehicles equipped with ignition engines or compression ignition engines. This document is applicable to vehicles of category N1 equipped with ignition engines or compression ignition engines and vehicles of categories M1 and M2 whose maximum design gross mass does not exceed 3500kg. M1 category vehicles with a maximum design total mass exceeding 3500kg can be implemented by reference.
