This document specifies the method for the determination of microplastic residues derived from mulch films in farmland soil. This document is applicable to the determination of microplastic residues from mulch films in farmland soil with an outline size range of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm. When expressed in terms of concentration, the lower limit of determination is 1.00 mg/kg. This document is applicable to the determination of microplastic residues derived from polyethylene mulch films, but is not applicable to the determination of microplastic residues derived from biodegradable agricultural mulch films.
