This standard specifies the HPLC method for the determination of vitamin B 6 (pyridoxine, pyridoxine hydrochloride, pyridoxine fatty acid ester and pyridoxal 5-phosphate) in cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination of pyridoxine, pyridoxine hydrochloride, pyridoxine fatty acid ester and pyridoxal 5-phosphate in cosmetics such as cream, lotion and liquid. The detection limit of this standard method is: pyridoxal 1.0 mg/kg, pyridoxine 0.3 mg/kg, the quantification limit is: pyridoxal 2.5 mg/kg, pyridoxine 1.2 mg/kg.
