This document applies to isoprene produced by dehydration and distillation under the action of a catalyst using 2-methyl-3-butene-2-ol as raw material. This product is used to produce isoprene rubber and butyl rubber, styrene-isoprene copolymer, and synthesize isopentenol, isopentenyl chloride, methylheptenone, linalool and other organic chemicals.
