Scope

This document specifies the type testing and post-installation electrical testing of DC transition joints for power transmission between non-drip oil-impregnated paper insulated cables (MI) and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated cables. This document is applicable to transition joints between non-drip oil-impregnated paper insulated cables (MI) and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated cables in 10kV ~ 60kV land and underwater cable transmission projects.
