- This standard applies to medical device products with network connection functions for electronic data exchange or remote control. The network includes wireless and wired networks, electronic data exchange includes one-way and two-way data transmission, and remote control includes real-time and non-real-time control. It also applies to medical device products that use storage media for electronic data exchange, where storage media include but are not limited to optical disks, mobile hard disks and USB flash drives.
