Scope

This document specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of silicone-based thermal interface materials (hereinafter referred to as "thermal interface materials"). This document applies to thermally conductive interface materials with silicone as the main component. This document does not apply to thermal interface materials used in the aerospace industry.
