- Scope
- This standard specifies a pre-reagent spectrophotometric method for the determination of chemical oxygen demand (COD) in water quality. This standard is applicable to the determination of COD in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. This standard does not apply to salt water with a diluted chloride ion mass concentration greater than 1500 mg/L. When the sampling volume is 2.00ml, the detection limit of this standard method is 4mg/L, the lower limit of determination is 16mg/L, and the upper limit of determination of undiluted water samples is 1600mg/L.
