Scope: The test methods specified in this standard are suitable for testing household washing and drying machines for washing and drying fabrics. This standard is not suitable for testing individual washing or drying functions. The purpose of this standard is to express and define the main performance parameters of household washing and drying machines that consumers are concerned about, and to describe the standard test methods for these performance parameters. Note: Public washing and drying machines used in apartments or laundry rooms and other similar places are also within the scope of this standard. This standard does not apply to commercial washing and drying machines.
