This document is formulated in order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the Radioactive Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Regulations on the Safety Management of Radioactive Waste, and regulate the source control and management of radioactive waste generation in nuclear power plants. This document specifies a variety of technical and management measures for source control of radioactive waste in nuclear power plants. This document is applicable to the design and operation management of facilities related to radioactive waste minimization in nuclear power plants, and provides guidance for nuclear power plant operating units in implementing radioactive waste minimization.
