- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for measuring the viscosity of solutions using an Ubbelohde viscometer and a rotational viscometer. This standard applies to the determination of viscosity of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. When the sample is at 20°C, the 2% aqueous solution (5mpa.s~100mpa.s) is a lower viscosity sample. It is measured with an Ubbelohde viscometer. When the sample is at 20°C, the 2% aqueous solution (100mpa.s~200000mpa.s) is a lower viscosity sample. For higher viscosity samples, use a rotational viscometer to measure.
