This standard specifies two methods for determining the content of non-volatile oil in liquid anhydrous ammonia (liquid ammonia) at about 105°C: gravimetric method and infrared spectroscopy. When the oil content is less than 5 mg/kg determined gravimetrically, it is reported as less than 5 mg/kg, or determined by infrared spectroscopy.
