Scope

This standard specifies the 3,3'-diaminobenzidine spectrophotometric method for the determination of total selenium in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of total selenium in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. When the sampling volume is 200 ml and a 30 mm cuvette is used, the detection limit of this standard method is 2.0 μg/L, and the lower determination limit is 8.0 μg/L. 2
