The laboratory 4-day respiratory activity measurement method was used. Respiratory activity can be measured as oxygen consumed or carbon dioxide produced and expressed as mg O2/g dry matter (DM). The basic principle of this method is the same as the Austrian standard NORM S 2027-4:2012.
