Scope
This part of GB/T 39482 specifies a procedure for evaluating the EIS test apparatus for high-impedance paint samples. To achieve this, a simulated electrolytic cell was used to simulate a high-impedance painted sample. Based on the equivalent circuit described, this section gives guidelines for improving the reliability of the test program using simulated electrolytic cells, including experimental testing, curve fitting and data presentation. This standard applies to the processing and analysis of EIS data obtained from simulated electrolytic cells for painted and unpainted metal specimens. NOTE: Due to the nature of the test, testing of high-impedance painted specimens is more susceptible to electromagnetic interference from external factors. Therefore, this section considers the use of a suitable simulated electrolytic cell placed in a Faraday box to test high-impedance samples. However, most manufacturers provide auxiliary dummy electrolytic cells in the low and mid-impedance ranges for verification of EIS test setups in the relatively low impedance range.
