Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of mercury content in solid samples by electrothermal-Zeman effect atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of total mercury in solid samples such as daily chemical products, soil, sediments, fertilizers, feeds, minerals, and coatings. Food, medicine, and cosmetics can be used as a reference. When the sample amount is 20.0 mg, the detection limit of the method is 0.006 mg/kg, and the lower limit of quantification is 0.020 mg/kg.
