- This standard specifies the method for determining the yellowness index of transparent or opaque plastics and its variation. This standard applies to the determination of the yellowness index of plastic materials and its variation. Note 1: Sample shapes include molded plates or disks, films, flakes, powders and granules. Not suitable for plastics containing fluorescent agents. Note 2: The change value of the yellowness index is often used to evaluate the influence of the environment on the color stability, such as high temperature, ultraviolet radiation, etc.
