- This document specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality commitments for recycling dimethyl terephthalate (DMT). This document applies to recycled dimethyl terephthalate refined from recycled polyester through chemical depolymerization, methanol transesterification, crystallization, centrifugal decolorization and refining.
