- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for lithium-ion power battery systems for electric vehicles. This standard applies to lithium-ion battery systems that provide driving force for electric vehicles (including pure electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, etc.). This standard does not apply to battery systems composed of other non-lithium-ion batteries such as nickel-metal hydride batteries and lead-acid batteries.
