Scope

This standard specifies a gravimetric method for determining the moisture and secondary substance content of solid waste. This standard is applicable to the determination of moisture and dry matter content in solid waste. It is not applicable to the determination of moisture and dry matter content in solid waste samples containing high amounts of volatile organic compounds and flammable and easy-to-weigh solid waste.
