- This standard specifies an ion chromatographic method for the determination of cations (Na+, NH4+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+) in precipitation. This standard is applicable to the determination of five cations (Na+, NH4+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+) in precipitation. When the injection volume is 25 μl, the method detection limits of Na+, NH4+, K+, Mg2+, and Ca2+ are 0.02 mg/L, 0.02 mg/L, 0.03 mg/L, 0.02 mg/L, and 0.03 mg/L respectively. The lower limits of determination are 0.08 mg/L, 0.08 mg/L, 0.12 mg/L, 0.08 mg/L and 0.12 mg/L respectively. 2
