This document stipulates the basic requirements for the temporary storage of battery samples in inspection and testing institutions, including general requirements, site requirements, facility requirements, storage method requirements, etc., as well as special requirements for the temporary storage of lithium-ion battery samples. This document applies to the management of battery samples by Xiangyang Administrative Regional Inspection and Testing Institutions (hereinafter referred to as institutions), focusing on lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and battery packs (systems). The flow of samples includes transportation, reception, temporary storage, testing, storage, disposal and other processes. This section applies to the temporary storage process after sample acceptance and before testing.
