- This document specifies the fire risk evaluation requirements, evaluation system and evaluation methods for electrochemical energy storage systems such as lithium-ion batteries. This document is applicable to the fire risk assessment of electrochemical energy storage systems with a power of 500 kW and above, using lithium-ion batteries as the electrical energy storage medium. The fire risk assessment of mobile electrochemical energy storage systems with power below 500 kW shall be carried out with reference to this document.
