GB/T 40080-2021 Nondestructive testing of steel tubes—Automated electromagnetic testing of seamless and welded (except submerged arc-welded) steel tubes for the verification of hydraulic leaktightness (English Version)
This document specifies automated electromagnetic testing methods for confirming the hydraulic tightness of seamless and welded steel pipes (except submerged arc welded). The eddy current testing method is suitable for steel pipes with an outer diameter greater than or equal to 4mm, and the magnetic flux leakage testing method is suitable for steel pipes with an outer diameter greater than 10mm. This document also applies to the inspection of hollow profiles. Note: Electromagnetic detection using the magnetic flux leakage method is not applicable to austenitic stainless steel pipes.
