- Scope
- This standard specifies the classification and nomenclature, technical requirements and test methods of light-emitting diode (LED) module technology for bulb lamps. This standard applies to LED modules for bulb lamps that operate under constant voltage or constant current without integrated control devices; as well as LED modules for self-ballasted bulb lamps that use 50Hz or 60Hz AC power below 250V. Note: The term "ballast" in this standard generally refers to variable voltage, current limiting or steady flow, which is different from the meaning of "ballast" required for the normal operation of gas discharge light sources.
