This standard covers equipment and parts [hereinafter referred to as parts ()] that are installed on railway vehicle bodies, bogies, etc. ] Specifies the general vibration test method (hereinafter referred to as vibration test) that is performed by attaching a wand to a vibration testing machine. Note (I) Items that are attached directly to vehicle bodies, bogies, etc., or via cushioning materials or shock absorbers. However, this standard does not apply to items that are attached secondary to those that are primarily attached to vehicle components, such as accessories for vehicle engines.
