This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, product classification, characteristics, product information, normal use, installation and transportation conditions, structural and performance requirements, testing, etc. of AC contactors. This standard applies to contactors with a frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz and a rated operating voltage not exceeding AC 1140V. This standard does not apply to electrical-pneumatic contactors.
