The sample is cut into pieces, and a mixed solution prepared with nitric acid and sodium chloride is used to dissolve the sample at low temperature to obtain a sample solution. Under acidic conditions, the sample solution is heated and distilled, and cyanide ions are evaporated in the form of hydrogen cyanide, which is absorbed with sodium hydroxide solution to obtain a cyanide ion absorption solution. In a closed container and at a certain temperature, the cyanide in the test solution is derivatized into cyanogen chloride using chloramine T under acidic conditions. The cyanogen chloride reaches equilibrium in the headspace bottle, and the gas phase part is introduced into the gas chromatograph for separation. An electron capture detector measures cyanide levels.
