The following constitutes an interim report of progress on the investigations of the hot ductility of high-temperature materials and covers work completed by Mar. 15@ 1956. The effect of weld thermal cycles on the elevated-temperature properties of 34 different materials has been studied and the results of these tests are discussed in this report. Eleven different heats of Type 347 stainless steels were studied@ together with 23 other heats of high-temperature structural materials of 16 different alloy types.
