This document specifies the technical requirements for the engineering design, construction acceptance and operation and maintenance of oil-immersed transformer foam-water spray fire extinguishing systems. This document applies to foam-water spray fire extinguishing systems installed on oil-immersed transformers of 500kV and below in new construction, reconstruction, and expansion projects of power systems. Pump-type (currently mixed) foam spray fire extinguishing systems may be implemented with reference to this standard.
