- This standard stipulates the shape, color, light quality, marking symbols and requirements for setting and use of water buoys and fixed signs in water with the same function as buoys in sea areas of China. This standard is applicable to water buoys and fixed marks in water with the same function as buoys set up by departments such as transportation, fishery, scientific research, petroleum exploration, ocean development and military in Chinese sea areas, ports and estuaries connected to the sea. This standard does not apply to lighthouses, fan light beacons, guide beacons, lightships and large navigational buoys.
