Scope

This standard applies to the abrasion test of flooring materials using a rotating disk type abrasion tester (see attached figure 1) that applies friction and impact. However, this does not apply to materials that are likely to be seriously damaged by friction brushes or impact studs as shown in Figures 4 and 5, or to composite materials of these.
