Scope
This standard specifies a method for the detection and identification of volatile organic contaminants in edible oils of animal and vegetable origin. This standard is applicable to the identification of volatile chemicals in crude and refined edible oils that may contain trace amounts of them as impurities. This method allows you to determine the concentration of contamination. This standard is not applicable to the quantification of volatile chemicals that react with edible oil or one of its components. In such cases, the presence of contaminants can be detected using a qualitative method. This standard applies only to the determination of volatile substances. This method is used to detect chemical substances of the following classes: ——saturated (saturated) halogenated hydrocarbons; ——unsaturated halogenated hydrocarbons; ——esters, aldehydes, alcohols, amines, ketones, ethers; ——cyclic and aromatic compounds; ——nitrogen compounds; ——acrylates, etc. The method was evaluated for concentrations ranging from 1 to 10 mg/kg
