Scope

This document specifies a method for the determination of the ultimate aerobic biodegradability of single-use plastic products containing polylactic acid under controlled composting conditions. This document is applicable to the determination of disposable plastic products prepared from pure polylactic acid (PLA) or a mixture of polylactic acid and polybutylene succinate (PBS) (polylactic acid content is not less than 50%).
