- Scope
- This standard stipulates the required sanitary protection distance between the meat processing factory and the residential area. This standard is applicable to newly-built meat processing plants located in plains and hilly areas, as well as expansion and reconstruction projects of existing meat processing plants. Existing meat factories can refer to the implementation. The health protection distance under complex terrain conditions should be determined jointly by the competent department of the construction unit and the competent department of health and environmental protection of the province, city, or autonomous region where the construction project is located according to the atmospheric environment quality evaluation report.
