- This document describes the principle, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, test procedures, test data processing, recovery rate, precision, etc. of the methylene blue spectrophotometric method for the determination of alkali metal sulfides and alkaline earth metal sulfides in cosmetics. This document is applicable to the determination of alkali metal sulfides and alkaline earth metal sulfides in water, cream and emulsion depilatory cosmetics. The method detection limit for alkali metal sulfides and alkaline earth metal sulfides (calculated as sulfur) in this document is 3 mg/kg, and the limit of quantification is 10 mg/kg.
